Community is a verb—so let’s practice it.

This is your invitation to share space to reconnect—with yourself, others, and the world. A weekly 75-minute circle to practice community: showing up, sharing our inner lives, and committing to tiny acts of connection. Not therapy, not a program, and certainly not like an exchange with ChatGPT—a held, confidential commons to practice being human together.

Why this matters now

We live in an age of curated feeds, algorithmic intimacy, and private fixes: chatbots that mimic care, social apps that trade attention for engagement, and healing spaces that are increasingly commodified and therapy that ranges widely in quality and effect. All of these have their place — but they don’t replace the good-old-civic habit of coming together in circles to be seen, practice care, and hold one another. This is an attempt to reclaim that communal muscle.

With this pilot, I want to test a simple idea: what happens when a small group of people commit to practicing community together?

A little about me: I’ve been researching, writing about, and gathering around the topic and experience of loneliness, connection, and belonging across Europe and Asia. I’ve been holding spaces that combine dialogue, somatics, creative prompts, and practices drawn from mindfulness, nonviolent communication, dyads, and other relational forms. Important: I’m not a clinician — I’m a facilitator and practitioner who’s doing their best to rebuild a sense of care and—yes—community.

Is this for you?

This is for people who:

  • Notice something missing in their relationships, personal or civic life

  • Want to practice connection and community as a muscle

  • Are curious about multi-modal ways of expression (journaling, drawing, movement, somatic prompts, dialogue, etc. )

  • Are willing to try small actions in the world and come back to share how it went;

  • Want a confidential, held, and non-judgmental space.

Please note that this is not a therapeutic space. While we will engage in deep conversations and emotional sharing, I’m not a licensed therapist or similar. If you are currently in therapy or receiving psychological support, please ensure that participating in this circle complements your existing care plan.

FAQs

  • Each circle lasts 75 minutes and usually follows this flow:

    • Arrival & grounding

    • Reflection prompt

    • Sharing in pairs or small groups

    • Commitment (tiny action to practice between now and next week)

    • Optional 15-min. evidence-based practice to improve resilience, overall wellbeing, and social connectedness (inspired by Humanize dyads)

    • Closing

  • Sharing is always invited, never forced. You can participate at the level that feels right for you. Simply showing up and listening is already part of the practice.

  • Commitment: weekly attendance for the 8-week pilot (we’ll ask you to sign up for the whole cycle after the first free session). This is how trust and depth form.

Presence: come as you are and be fully present while you’re in the circle. Phones off / on silent.

Confidentiality: what’s shared in the circle stays in the circle. Honor privacy.

Care: listen with curiosity and respect. No fixing, no unsolicited advice.

Feedback: this is a pilot — your reflections and feedback at mid-point and the end are essential to shape this format.

Experimentation: try your micro-commitments between sessions and bring back what you learned.

  • Because trust is the foundation. This only works if people feel safe to speak openly. Everything said in the circle remains within the circle.

  • The pilot is free. In exchange, I ask for your full presence and your feedback to help refine this format. Later, we may experiment with sliding-scale or donation models, but for now, your commitment is the “currency.”

  • The pilot begins Wednesday, October 28, 2025 and runs for 8 consecutive weeks (every Wednesday evening, European time).

  • The pilot is limited to a small group (around 12–18 people) so we can build depth and trust together.

  • This will be a blend of multi-modal practices inspired by:

    • Deep listening and relational reflection

    • Zen Buddhism & Plum Village mindfulness

    • Nonviolent Communication & Dyad practices (Humanize)

    • Creative expression (journaling, art, collage)

    • Movement, somatics, and intuition

We combine reflection, sharing, and small action commitments, so each session leaves you with tiny, tangible ways to shift how you connect in the world. It’s hands-on, embodied, and relational, not purely intellectual or abstract.
