Daily Connect is a practice community I co-founded, centered around an evidence-based 15-minute practice for the most fundamental human skill: being present and listening deeply.

The short-ish story

While researching the structural roots of loneliness, I came across the work of Prof. Dr. Tania Singer at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences. Her ReSource Project, one of the most rigorous longitudinal studies of contemplative and socio-emotional training ever conducted, demonstrated something that cuts against everything modern life assumes: our capacity for compassion, presence, and genuine connection can be trained. And when it is trained consistently, something measurable changes — in the brain, in the body, and in the quality of how we are with each other.

At the heart of this research is a practice called the “dyad”, a structured 15-minute exchange between two people. Brief reflection on difficulty and gratitude, followed by deep listening. The neuroscientific evidence is striking: regular practice measurably increases compassion, reduces stress reactivity, and builds the relational capacities that most of us have been systematically untrained out of by modern life.

I completed a nine-week practitioner training and was certified as a teacher in December 2024. When the original organization that carried this practice in Europe had to close, I kept a small group running, pairing people manually, week by week, because the practice was too important to let disappear.

At the beginning of 2026, a small group of us came together and decided to bring it into the world properly. Daily Connect: a platform, an app, and a membership-based community is the result, grounded in neuroscience and contemplative tradition, and in the belief that the capacity to be genuinely present with another human being is the most urgent skill we can develop right now.
